Day 1 Hanoi arrival

As soon as you arrive at Noi Bai airport our guide and driver will pick you up then transfer you to your hotel in Hanoi. For the rest of the day you will be free to explore the city on your own.

Day 2 Hanoi Ancient Village – City tour

Today commences with a 1 hour transfer from Hanoi. From the main road, you will go through rice fields before entering the village, where you will see a breathtakingly beautiful pagoda with amazing architecture which was built over 300 years ago. It will make you feel like you have stepped back in time. Walking through the footpaths, you'll see the small local market where people sell various local produce and food. Scattered along the road are the food vendors. You might be interested in buying some fresh products here to keep you going until your lunch later in the village. Continue on to visit the quiet pagoda hidden behind the vibrant market.
Following the stone bridge you will visit the village where a 300-year-old wooden house still stands,as well as an ancestral shrine of each family which surrounds the lake, and the temple where the worshipping of the village's tutelary occurs. Your small Vietnam heritage tour to the traditional village will end after having a friendly lunch with a local family.
Rest a little bit before you go back to the city centre to have a 4-hour city tour. The tour includes visits to the main sites of Hanoi such as the Ho Chi Minh Complex (outside), Temple of Literature - the first university of Vietnam, Old Quarter, and Sword Lake. Conclude the day with St. Joseph Cathedral - where many couples come to take romantic pictures.

Day 3 Hanoi - Ninh Binh- Kenh Ga – Van Long

After breakfast you will start your journey with a 2.5 hour transfer to Kenh Ga. Take a boat ride on a small river to visit a floating fish farm, Kenh Ga floating village, limestone formations, and local people. This is a good opportunity to see the daily life and activities of peaceful hidden villages by the river in this rural area. You will also experience the bustling Christmas atmosphere of the local people.
You will then reach your destination at the hot mineral springs (natural stream) so take some time to visit this ecological area or have a relaxing swim in the natural hot springs pool (at an additional cost). Lunch will be served in a local restaurant before continuing to the next destination.
After lunch we continue the journey along the dike to Van Long and sail for about 1.5 hours to enjoy the scenery of Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve.
Not only a nature reserve inhabiting many birds, Van Long wetland is also an attractive site called “Bay Without Waves”. Due to the calm water the surface clearly reflects the surrounding beautiful scenery like a giant mirror.
You’ll return to your hotel to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere in the countryside while you get ready for the warm Christmas Eve as if with your second family in Vietnam!

Day 4 Ninh Binh – Halong Bay - Overnight Cruise Experience

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before getting on a 3-4 hour journey to Halong Bay – a natural world wonder. You’ll spend a night onboard an elegant junk, cruising on the emerald water to the far and less touched areas of Halong; it is a lifetime experience that you will never forget!
You’ll arrive at the dock at around noon when you will then embark on the cruise, followed by a delicious lunch while the cruise sails further into the secluded, island-dotted bay. You will join in the cruise's activities like visiting caves and sandstone islands, and kayaking. And at night, relax on the sun deck or go squid fishing.

Day 5 Ha Long Bay – Hanoi – Flight to Da Nang

Wake up early to capture the most beautiful moments of the bay during sunrise, then join a Tai Chi lesson onboard with other passengers. A light breakfast is served with pastries and coffee while your cruise continues sailing through the islands. Depending on each cruise; you might visit nearby islands on a row boat then navigate back to the Halong jetty. Pack all your luggage and items then enjoy the brunch onboard before disembarking.
Our driver will be waiting at the jetty to take you to Hanoi airport and you will then take a flight to Danang. Arrive in Danang, then transfer to Hoi An and check-in to the resort.

Day 6 Hoi An City Tour and Countryside

After breakfast at the hotel, a driver and guide will pick you up for a full day tour. You will have the chance to immerse yourself in the tranquility and charm of this sleepy riverside town. From the 16th to 18th centuries Hoi An was a thriving international port frequented by Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Arab traders, who came to trade in the high quality silk which is still produced in the region. Today, Hoi An is a relaxing resort popular with tourists for its eclectic architecture, skilled tailors and numerous cafes. Take a half-day walking tour through the narrow winding streets of the ancient town centre, visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, the Chinese Assembly Hall, the 200-year-old Tam Ky ancestral house and the famous Japanese Bridge.
Savour lunch of your own choice and budget then get on your bike to ride to the Bay Mau Coconut Village, Cam Thanh, which is an important historical relic in Vietnam heritage tour as well as a craft village where many houses are built from coconut leaves. Taste a fresh coconut while walking through the craft village and see special methods for making hundreds of things from coconuts. After that, you will ride in a basket boat, deeper into the coconut forest, and see the spectacular technique farmer's use with their boat. Fishing from a basket boat is not very easy, however, it will be so memorable if you catch a fish or crab from this vast coconut area! Take the boat trip along Thu Bon river for your journey back to your hotel.

Day 7 Hoi An - Free day

Today is your free day without a guide and transfer. Feel free to use the complimentary daily shuttle bus service to the old town or An Bang beach and back as per the hotel’s schedule. There is also complementary daily usage of bicycles, subject to availability.

Today you’re free to do as your please until you catch your flight to Saigon, then you’ll be transferred to your hotel. For the rest of the day in Saigon you’re free to explore the city at your leisure.

Day 9 Hochiminh- Cuchi Tunnel & Street food

This morning you're free then this afternoon you will travel for about 70km to the northwest of Saigon for a half-day tour of Cu Chi Tunnels - a vast underground defence system of Viet Cong during the Vietnam War, which housed up to 10,000 people. The tunnels were constructed with hospitals, living rooms, kitchens, storage and working areas, and is approximately 250km in length. The remaining tunnels, nowadays, are a must-see destination for tourists who come to Vietnam to get a view of the underground life during the war time. You can also do a shooting trial using an AK47 or MK16 at an additional fee.
You will then be dropped at Ben Thanh market in Saigon where you will have a Vietnamese street food experience. Start big with a combo plate of steamed flour rice cakes with dried shrimp, called Banh Beo, along with Banh Bot Loc, a shrimp and pork tapioca cake. Throughout the whole trip, the guide will show you a number of city highlights and hidden gems, and you'll learn the story behind each place you pass. The next stop is at a small family business that makes delicious Banh Mi, a Vietnamese sandwich with a French colonial history. The next tasting is Banh Xeo, a sizzling crepe filled with sliced pork, whole shrimp and bean sprouts, perfect with a glass of locally-brewed Saigon beer. Finish the tour with a Ho Chi Minh City-style coffee break then you'll go back to your hotel.

Day 10 Saigon - Ben Tre - Can Tho

After breakfast at your hotel, our driver and guide will meet you in the hotel lobby then take you on a 2-hour drive to Ben Tre Province. Along the route, we'll stop in Tien Giang for a short visit to the Vinh Trang Pagoda - an ancient southern architectural gem of Vietnam heritage tours. Arrive in Hung Vuong pier in Ben Tre, then you will take a boat trip on Ben Tre river, one of the tributaries of Mekong river, observing lively activities along the river such as fishing and water transferring. The first stop will be a local brickworks where bricks are made manually in the traditional way, then you'll visit one of many coconut processing workshops located along the canal. Then you'll disembark the boat and enjoy a leisurely walk or bike ride to a local family for lunch.
In the afternoon, you'll explore a village which makes sleeping mats and take a relaxing row boat along the palm creek, then boat back to Hung Vuong Pier. Our driver will be waiting there to transfer you to your hotel in Can Tho to celebrate New Year's Eve in the festive atmosphere of the hotel.

Day 11 Can Tho - Cai Rang Floating Market - Saigon

Wake up early this morning and head to the famous Cai Rang floating market - a maze of hundreds of boats sailing around selling food and products. This floating market is very different from the local markets you may see in other provinces of Vietnam - from a distance buyers can easily find the boat selling their desired products as the boat owners will hang their items on long, vertical poles.
As you leave the floating market, you’ll continue your boat ride to the local fruit orchards and enjoy fresh, delicious tropical fruits. Then you will visit local villages, passing through peaceful footpaths to visit traditional houses, observing the daily lives of local people and listening to them speak about their traditions. You’ll then return to Saigon and have lunch en route.

Day 12 Saigon - Departure

Today is your last day in Saigon. Enjoy breakfast at your hotel then wander around the city for last minute shopping or sightseeing before getting transferred to Saigon Airport for your departure flight.
