Day 1 Saigon Arrival

Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City (aka Saigon) - the biggest city and the financial hub of Vietnam, our very first destination on this Vietnam culture tour. Our representative will lead you through customs and immigration to the VIP waiting lounge. Enjoy a coffee while our staff helps you throughout the procedure - everything will go smoothly and quickly - without a single hiccup! Then our driver and guide will take you to your hotel to check-in and enjoy a rest to recover from jet lag.

Day 2 Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnels – City Tour

This morning we will travel for about 70km to the northwest of Saigon for a half-day tour of Cu Chi Tunnels - a vast underground defending system of Viet Cong during Vietnam War, which housed up to 10,000 people. The tunnels were constructed with hospitals, living rooms, kitchens, storage and working areas also in an approximate length of 250km. The remaining tunnels are a must-see destination for tourists who come to Vietnam to get a view of the underground life during the war time. You can also join a shooting trial using an AK47 or MK16 with separate fees.
In the afternoon, get on a guided tour visiting some city key sites such as the War Remnants Museum, the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, City Post Office and Ben Thanh market. The rest of the day is for your leisure. The educational values of these sites make this trip an ideal option for a Vietnam tour for family.

Day 3 Saigon – Mekong Delta (Ben Tre) Day Trip

After breakfast at your hotel, our driver and guide will meet you at the hotel lobby to take you on a 2-hour drive to Ben Tre Province, our second destination on this Vietnam culture tour. Along the route, we will stop in Tien Giang for a short visit to the Vinh Trang Pagoda - an ancient southern architectural gem.
After we arrive in Hung Vuong Pier in Ben Tre, we will take a boat trip on the Ben Tre River – one of tributaries of Mekong River, and observe lively activities such as fishing and water transferring. First stop will be local brickwork where bricks are made manually in the traditional way. Then we will visit one of plenty of coconut processing workshops located along the canal. Then we disembark via boat; enjoy a leisure walk or bike ride to a local family for lunch.
In the afternoon, continue walking in a village that makes sleeping mats and then take a relaxing rowboat along the palm creek and row back to Hung Vuong Pier. Our driver will be waiting there to take you back to your hotel in Saigon.

Day 4 Saigon – Fly to Danang – Hoian

This morning is free until you travel to Saigon Airport for the domestic flight to Danang. After your arrival in Danang, our driver and guide will take you to your hotel in Hoian for check in. Enjoy a short rest before joining the guided Hoian tour around the ancient town in the afternoon.
Later on in the afternoon, you will have a leisurely walking tour to discover the timeless charm of Hoian. The tour includes some key sites such as the Japanese Bridge, the Chinese Assembly Halls, and Ancient House.
The rest of the day is for your own explorations.

Day 5 Hoian Cooking Class – Boat trip

This morning you will join a wonderful cooking class on Thuan Tinh Island - the official ecological zone of Hoian. Start with a market visit as you walk along the local shops to buy fresh ingredients for the cooking session. Then you will embark on a boat trip through the water coconut trees to get into the cooking venue - an open-to-the-air kitchen where everything is set up and ready to cook. Under the instructions of the chef, you will be able to cook some local foods and finally, you will get to savor your own creations!
In the afternoon, take a boat trip to the nearby island to visit a handicraft village where people manufacture ceramic products.
Return to your hotel in the late afternoon and enjoy the rest of the day on your own.

Day 6 Hoian – Farming & Fishing Life (Group-join)

Around 8:00 am, our guide will come to pick you up at your hotel for a wonderful day trip exploring both the local farming and fishing communities (group tour). Start the trip with a cycling journey along country roads and see local Vietnamese rural life first hand (car or motor taxi are available upon request and with a surcharge if you do not want to ride a bike). Your first stop is a beautiful organic vegetable village where you will have a chance to join some farming activities like watering and planting vegetables, hoeing soil with a local farmer, riding a water buffalo in a rice paddy field, seeing ducks swimming along the rice farm and farmers tending to their crops. The photo opportunities are endless. As well, you will experience the friendliness of the local people greeting you along the way. Later on, embark a local boat for a river cruise to meet and engage with local fishermen and enjoy a hands-on experience of traditional net fishing. You will also experience paddling the unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boat through the waterways of coconut palm paradise.

Day 7 Hoian – Free for leisure

Day 8 Hoian – Danang – Hue

Morning is free for your leisure.
At around noon, check out of your hotel then set out on a 3-hour drive to Hue. Stop en route for a photo shooting of stunning view over the Lang Co beach. Arrive in Hue, check-in your hotel and spend the rest of the day on your own.

Day 9 Hue City Tour

Today you will have a full day to discover the poetic city of Hue.
Start the day with a visit to Hue Citadel - home to the Imperial City. This Citadel comprises of 3 circles of ramparts and we will step into this one by one. From the exterior circle - Hue Capital Citadel, we then move to the second circle - the Imperial Citadel. The third part and also the center of the citadel is the Forbidden City. Situated inside the Imperial Citadel complex and behind the Throne Palace, the Purple Forbidden City was reserved for the Emperor and his family only.
In the afternoon, we continue our Hue tour with a visit to the Imperial Museum, the Tu Hieu Pagoda and the vibrant riverside Dong Ba Market.

Day 10 Hue – Fly to Hanoi

A romantic boat trip along the Perfume River to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda is the perfect way to start this day. Thien Mu Pagoda was named after a legend about an old woman who appeared on the hill where the pagoda stands today. This old woman told the local people that a Lord would come and build a Buddhist pagoda here for the country's prosperity. Then here came the Lord Nguyen Hoang who ordered the construction of Thien Mu pagoda. After leaving the pagoda, we will continue our tour with the ornate Minh Mang Tomb before heading to the airport for your in-country flight to Hanoi. Check-in your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 11 Hanoi City Tour – Foodie Tour

With its wide tree-lined boulevards, French-colonial buildings, peaceful lakes, old pagodas, and warm-hearted local people, Hanoi offers a timeless charm that travelers will definitely fall in love with.
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before setting out on a full day guided tour to discover the cultural and natural beauty of Hanoi. The tour includes visits to main sites such as the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex (you just pass by), the nearby One Pillar Pagoda, the Presidential Palace, Temple of Literature, the sedate Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple and finally, one of the city museums. Conclude the day with an interesting Water Puppet Show - a traditional folk dance which stems from the Southeast Asian's wet rice culture.
In the evening, join our wonderful Foodie tour where you will have a chance to discover the delicious foods from local vendors. As you follow our expert guide, you will sample from the delicious "Banh Cuon" to barbecued meat, veggies and finally seasonal fruits and tasty egg coffee.

Day 12 Hanoi – Halong Bay – Overnight on Cruise

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before setting out on a 3-4 hour journey to Halong Bay – a natural wonder of the world. Spend 1 night onboard an elegant junk, cruising on the emerald water to the far and less touched areas of Halong; it is a lifetime experience that you will never forget!
Arrive at the dock around noon, and then you will embark on the cruise, followed by a delicious lunch while the cruise sails further into the secluded, island-dotted bay. You will join the cruise's activities such as visiting a cave and sandstone islands, and kayaking. At night, relax on the sun deck or go squid fishing.

Day 13 Halong Bay - Hanoi

Wake up early to capture the most beautiful moments of the bay during sunrise then attend a Tai Chi lesson with other passengers. Light breakfast is served with pastries and coffee, while your cruise continues sailing through the islands. Depending on each cruise, you may visit nearby islands in a rowboat then navigate back to the Halong jetty. Pack your luggage and enjoy the brunch onboard before disembarkation.
Our driver will be waiting at the jetty to take you back to your hotel in Hanoi.

Day 14 Hanoi – Departure

Today is your last day in Hanoi. Enjoy breakfast at your hotel then wander around the city for last minute shopping or sightseeing before getting transferred to the Hanoi Airport for your departure flight.
