Freya Stark used to say that “To awaken alone in a strange town is one of the pleasantest sensations in the world.”. Indeed, traveling allows us not to wake up in a different place but a different view on a regular basis. Are you ready to wake up in the most beautiful spots of the Nothern Vietnam and possibly say “Hi” to a new path of your life?
Your ultimate journey will start from our capital Hanoi with the very first stop at the peaceful village of Tien Le veggie farm. You will experience the daily life of local farmers and hand on their daily works - farm on the field and cook for the lunch. Our traveling motto is “Traveling like a local” and we will do our best to deliver to you the most real and significant breath of life in Vietnam.
Waving goodbye to the city and we will drive you to a city getaway - Xoi Farmstay - a Tay family-run farmstay situated in a green valley of Yen Bai province (Northern Vietnam). In this place, it won’t be just traveling like a local, but living with the locals. You will stay with them, eat what they eat, and follow them to the jungle to admire the richness and magnificentness of their homeland.
The last but the most stunning destination we want to show you is Ha Long Bay - one of seven wonders of the world. Sail with us, stay on our five-star cruise, and you will soon understand how wonderful this wonder is! You will hide out yourself in the secluded, island-dotted bay of the seascape for a couple of days, soar your body to the emerald water, and let nature heal your soul.
Don’t waste any minute, the journey is such a one-of-the-lifetime offer that you simply can’t miss!
This morning you will travel out of Hanoi city center to the suburban areas for a half-day eco-tour discovering the local life. You will get picked up from your hotel lobby around 7:30 am, then set out on a 45-min drive to Tien Le Vegetable village, about 18km to the west of Hanoi.
After arriving in the peaceful village, our local host and guide will take you on a wonderful visit to a market in the countryside. Wander around the stalls selling food, meat, veggies, etc… if you want you can purchase some ingredients used in the upcoming cooking session. All of them are newly harvested and fresh!
When you get back from the market, you will put on farming clothes and bring farming tools to the field, where many local people have been working since the early morning. Prepare to get dirty as you will be doing some farming activities like plowing, growing vegetables, watering and fertilizing. Then head back to your host family for a cooking session and lunch.
In the afternoon, take a guided tour visiting some main sites of Hanoi: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex (you just pass by), the One Pillar Pagoda and the Women’s Museum. In the evening, enjoy an interesting Water Puppet Show - a traditional art form that stems from Southeast Asian’s wet-rice culture.
