Day 1 Ho Chi Minh City - Arrival

Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City (aka Saigon) - the biggest city and financial hub of Vietnam. Our driver and guide will be waiting to assist you to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of your day you will be free to recover from jet lag.
You might like to take a walk to Ben Thanh market - the famous market selling a variety of local and international products in HCMC.

Day 2 HCMC - Cu Chi tunnels - Half Day Free

This morning you will travel for about 70km to the northwest of Saigon for a half-day tour of Cu Chi Tunnels, a vast underground defence system of Viet Cong during the Vietnam War, which housed up to 10,000 people. The tunnels were constructed with hospitals, living rooms, kitchens, storage and working areas and it's approximately 250km in length . The remaining tunnels, nowadays, are a must-see destination for tourists who come to Vietnam to get a view of underground life during the war time. You can also do a shooting trial using an AK47 or MK16 at an additional cost.
In the afternoon, you are free to relax.

Day 3 Ho Chi Minh City Tour - Dinner & Countdown

After breakfast, check-out of your first hotel in Saigon. You will have a full day tour around the key sites of Saigon, crossing the busy streets of this dynamic city once called the "Pearl of the Far East". The atmosphere around New Year is so vibrant that you might like to jump out and join in with others.
You'll start your Vietnam cultural tour with the Reunification Palace - the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until April 1975. Then you'll visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and the City Post Office. Next, you will take a visit to China Town and Thien Hau, Quan Am Pagodas.
In the afternoon, you'll continue your trip to the War Remnants Museum for a closer look at Vietnam and Saigon during war time. You'll conclude the day with a visit to Ben Thanh market where a variety of products are sold.
Return to your hotel to freshen up, and you'll then go to a cozy restaurant for a special dinner where you can admire the city by night and join in the countdown to New Year.

Day 4 HCMC - Flight to Hai Phong - Halong Bay

Transfer to the airport for your onward flight to Hai Phong. Arrive in Hai Phong, meet and greet, then transfer to Halong Bay on the new highway. Spend a night onboard an elegant junk, cruising on the emerald water to the far and less touched areas of Halong; it is a lifetime experience that you will never forget!
You'll arrive at the dock at around noon when you will then embark on the cruise, followed by a delicious lunch while the cruise sails further into the secluded, island-dotted bay. You will join in the cruise's activities like visiting caves and sandstone islands, and kayaking. And at night, relax on the sun deck or go squid fishing.

Day 5 Halong Bay - Hanoi

Wake up early to capture the most beautiful moments of the bay during sunrise, then join a Tai Chi lesson onboard with other passengers. A light breakfast is served with pastries and coffee while your cruise continues sailing through the islands. Depending on each cruise; you might visit nearby islands on a row boat then navigate back to the Halong jetty. Pack all your luggage and items then enjoy brunch onboard before disembarking.
Our driver will be waiting at the jetty to take you to Hanoi. Check-in to the hotel in Hanoi and you'll have the remainder of the day to relax or visit some nearby attractions at your leisure such as Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, or Hanoi Opera House.

Day 6 Hanoi Full Day City Tour – Traditional Village

Today commences with a 1 hour transfer from Hanoi. From the main road, you will go through rice fields before entering the Nom village, where a 300-year-old breathtakingly beautiful pagoda with amazing architecture is located. It will make you feel like you have stepped back in time. Walking through the footpaths, you'll see the small local market where people sell various local produce and food. Scattered along the road are food vendor stalls. You might like to buy some fresh products here to keep you going until your lunch later in the village. Continue on to visit the quiet pagoda hidden behind the vibrant market.
Following the stone bridge you will visit the village where a 300yearold wooden house still stands. An ancestral shrine of each family surrounds the lake as well as the temple where the worshipping of the village's tutelary occurs. Your Vietnam cultural tour to the traditional village will end after having a friendly lunch with a local family.
Rest a little bit before you go back to city centre to have a 4-hour city tour. The tour includes visits to the main sites of Hanoi such as the Ho Chi Minh Complex (outside), Temple of Literature - the first university of Vietnam, Old Quarter, and Sword Lake. Conclude the day with St. Joseph Cathedral - where many couples come to take romantic pictures.

Day 7 Hanoi - Departure

Today is your last day in Hanoi. Enjoy breakfast at your hotel then wander around the city for last minute shopping or sightseeing before getting transferred to Hanoi Airport for your onward flight.
