Start from Hanoi as we drive to Cao Bang where one of the most beautiful waterfalls of the country - Ban Gioc Waterfalls is located. After that we visit Ba Be National Park - a place that offers some of the most wonderful sceneries in Vietnam with a vast variety of flora and fauna. Unlike Ba Be National Park where you just enjoy the nature mainly, Ha Giang and its surrounding area offer you not only spectacular sceneries of rice fields, karst mountains, but also wonderful cultural aspects which are still untouched by mass tourism. The final spot is Sapa where we will embark on a breathtaking journey through the villages - this adventure is a perfect mixture of both natural and cultural beauty.

Day 1 Hanoi Arrival

Welcome to Hanoi - the capital city of Vietnam with beautiful tree-lined streets and colonial buildings, a heaven of vendor foods and hospitable people. Arrive in Noi Bai International Airport, our guide will be waiting there to take you to your hotel in the city center for a short rest.
In the afternoon, take a rickshaw tour along the streets of Hanoi, taking in the vibrant Old Quarter, then enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 2 Hanoi – Cycling in nearby villages

Cycling is one of the best ways to discover the local life and trying biking north Vietnam is not a bad idea!
Today you will wake up a bit early and have breakfast at your hotel before heading to the outskirts of Hanoi for a full-day cycling trip around the craft villages.
Cycling along the small and windy paths of the village, you ride to the vegetable field where many local people work. Enjoy the sightseeing en route and stop for a photo shoot if you like. Feel free to talk with the farmers to learn more about their live and try doing farming activities such as harvesting, plowing, and watering. Prepare to get dirty and you will have some unforgettable moments! Later on, you will bike back to your host family for a wonderful cooking session and lunch with delicious local foods.
In the afternoon, bid farewell to the smiling farmers, we continue our biking journey to a local family who produces rice wine. Next stops are the local workshops of Son Dong wood carving village where you will admire the skillful local artisans who make statues for worship and other items. Conclude the tour of biking north Vietnam with a short visit to the local pagoda before taking a car ride back city center.

Day 3 Hanoi – Lang Son – Cao Bang

This morning we leave Hanoi for a 3-hour drive to Lang Son - the border city where many Vietnam off the beaten track tours are started. You will visit the Tam Thanh Grotto and a local market, continue our journey along the bumpy roads to reach Cao Bang town (near Chinese border) - home to the renowned Ban Gioc Waterfalls. Stop en route to visit local villages of Tay and Dzao people. Enjoy rest of the day on your own.

Day 4 Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfalls

Today is the day for you to admire the splendid view of the Ban Gioc Waterfalls - the largest waterfall and one of the most impressive natural sights in Vietnam. Along the route to the waterfall, you will have a chance to explore the unspoiled nature and capture this stunning scenery into your own camera to savor the moment. Following arrival in Ban Gioc, you can either choose to relax or take a swim in its emerald water. Next we will transfer back to Cao Bang in the late afternoon where you can enjoy rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 5 Cao Bang – Pac Po – Ba Be

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel then depart northward to Chinese border to visit the historic Pac Po Cave where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked during 1940s. Here you will visit some main sites such as the Pac Po Cave, the Lenin River, the Karl Marx Mountain, and the stone table.
After lunch, we will head to Ba Be for the night stay in a local homestay.

Day 6 Boat trip on Ba Be Lake

Wake up early this morning and enjoy a simple breakfast with your host family before setting off on our exciting day in Ba Be National Park. First, you will board a private boat on the Ba Be Lake and visit the Puong Cave, famous for its thousands of bats. Then, you will sail down the Nang River to see the Dau Dang Waterfall before having lunch at a nearby village restaurant on the banks of the river.
In the afternoon, you will visit An Ma Temple and then trek a short distance through the forest to the homestay. Enjoy the wild scenery en route.

Day 7 Ba Be – Ha Giang

This morning, bid farewell to your host family then heading toward Ba Be, passing through Thai Nguyen Province. Enjoy the sightseeing en route with views of hills full of tea trees, and local villages. Reach Ha Giang at around 2:30 pm then we will drop by a local village , home to Tay ethnic minority.

Day 8 Ha Giang – Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Dong Van

After breakfast, we head to Dong Van Karst Plateau. Enjoy the beauty of Pac Sum Pass, Heaven Gate, Fairy Mountain in Quan Ba, and the Tam Son town on the way. We will stop in Yen Minh for lunch then proceed to the picturesque Sung La Valley with endless greening scenery, row after row of mountains, and aged houses. In Sung La, there is an old house surrounded by buckwheat flower gardens which is well-known thanks to a movie named "Pao's Story". Later on, we continue our trip to visit the King H'mong's Palace - the residence of Vuong family. Next stop is the Lung Cu Flag Tower and Lo Lo minority village at the foot of mountain before arriving in Dong Van to stay for the night.

Day 9 Dong Van

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel then wander around the town to visit the local old houses which date back to over 100 years.
After that, we will travel to the remote countryside areas of Dong Van, passing through the peaceful villages where you might meet local people walking along the tracks. Spend a short time talking with them to help you to understand more about their lives.
Return to your hotel in the late afternoon and enjoy the rest of the day on your own.

Day 10 Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac – Ha Giang

Enjoy breakfast then we will say goodbye to the old town of Dong Van to head toward Ha Giang on another route. Along the way, we will stop at the scenic Ma Pi Leng Pass (one of the 4 most beautiful passes of Northwest Vietnam) for capturing some photos. Next stop is the Meo Vac market where we will wander around its town to discover the local area. Arrive in Ha Giang in the late afternoon then enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 11 Ha Giang – Hoang Su Phi – Bac Ha

This morning we depart from Ha Giang to go to Bac Ha. Passing along the rough, up and down hills on the scenic route with dense forests, we will arrive in Hoang Su Phi - home to 12 ethnic minorities. Hoang Su Phi is among the most untouched area of Ha Giang; it has been separated from mainstream society until recent time. Wandering around the villages, you can meet many local people of H'mong, Dzao. Minority and talk with them to understand more about their lives. If you travel to Hoang Su Phi in September, you will have the chance to admire the beautiful rice paddy fields turning from green to yellow. The terraced rice fields in Hoang Su Phi have been recognized as the National Heritage in 2012.
Bid farewell to Hoang Su Phi as we continue our drive to Bac Ha to stay for the night.

Day 12 Bac Ha – Sapa

After breakfast at your hotel, we will visit the H'Mong King House and the Ban Pho village of Flower H'mong people (or head to the famous Bac Ha market if it is Sunday). Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant then depart for Sapa on a 90-km journey. Arrive in Sapa and enjoy rest of the day on your own. It’s time to create your Vietnam tailor-made tour right in this tourist attraction.

Day 13 Can Ho B and Ta Giang Phinh villages

Today you will have a full day to discover the local villages. Starting from Sapa town, we will make our way through the stunning paths, enjoying the magnificent sceneries and waterfalls en route. Next we will arrive in Can Ho B village - home to Red Dzao people. You will be welcomed by smiling, warm-hearted people. Spend your time visiting local families and talking with them to learn about their traditions, customs and how they make and dye their traditional costumes. Next, we proceed to visit the Ta Giang Phinh Village of Hmong people for a 4-hour trekking journey. We will drive back to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 14 Sapa – Hill Tribe Market

Have breakfast at your hotel and head to one of the colorful hill tribe markets (Coc Ly market on Tuesday, Cao Son market on Wednesday, Lung Khau Nhin market on Thursday, Can Cau market on Saturday, Bac Ha/ Muong Hum market on Sunday). In the market, people from the nearby villages in their traditional costumes bring their homemade products to sell and exchange. Products found in the market include: pigs, cows, chickens, ducks, vegetables, and embroidered clothing. Feel free to wander around the market, talk to the local people here and enjoy their diverse products and unique culture before getting in the car for your drive back Sapa.

Day 15 Sapa – Drive to Hanoi – Departure

Today is your last day in Hanoi. Enjoy breakfast at your hotel then wander around the city for last minute shopping or sightseeing before getting transferred to the Hanoi Airport for your departure flight.
