Vietnam is a country with over 3,600 kilometers in length running vertically from the North to the South, and stretches through loads of topography including coastlines, highlands, lakes and deltas. 1. Ban Gioc Waterfall
Ban Gioc is one of the best-known waterfalls in Vietnam. Situated in the Northeast of Cao Bang province, the falls are 30 meters high and 300 meters wide, making it the largest waterfall known in the country.
The falls are located on the Quay Son River, a pristine river that starts in China and sneaks through rustic rice paddies and bamboo forests surrounded by limestone mountains. Though recently discovered and highly documented on social media, Ban Gioc still remains an off-the-beaten-track spot. Around 5 a.m. would be the best moment for a sunrise observation. Get the camera out and ready when the clouds start emerging and gradually move to the top of the waterfalls.
